The Ohio Crime Prevention Association will be hosting a 5-day Advanced Crime Prevention Practitioner Certification and Training. This course is intended to expose and engage practitioners amid more complex and experiential learning methods in the practice of crime prevention. The course will focus on ways to prepare experienced practitioners to educate the public on how to protect itself in personal safety and physical security.
The focus of the course will be technical/advanced classroom work, coupled with practical apprentice observation and demonstration field time in the areas of electronic protection and detection systems, physical target hardening hardware and methods, cyber security technology and risk assessment methodology.
TOPICAL INSTRUCTION INCLUDES:
Electronic Security Systems, physical security systems, cyber security, security risk analysis, lighting systems, and crime prevention through environmental design.
Prior to attending this training, registrants must complete the LCI On-line Lighting Assessment Class. This information will be sent to registrants prior to the training.
Students are required to bring a laptop, pens, tape measurer, flashlight and digital camera.

Current and active Ohio Crime Prevention Association members who have their Certified Prevention Specialist designation.
