Join us on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a one-hour virtual presentation hosted by the United Way of Greater Cleveland, in collaboration with the Ohio Crime Prevention Association, on the Dial 211 system. Currently serving five counties and covering 1.5 million people in Ohio, the United Way 211 system is a crucial link to community resources for residents of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Ross, Darke, and Belmont counties. The 211 social service professionals possess extensive Community Resource Navigation training, enabling them to simplify complex situations and assist callers in finding necessary resources 24/7/365.
This vital training session is recommended for law enforcement personnel, public safety officials, community leaders, and first responders. Attending this session will equip you with knowledge about the 211 system's operations and services, enhancing your ability to assist those you serve in connecting with critical community resources. Moreover, if the 211 service has not yet been implemented in your county, this presentation offers a prime opportunity to understand its benefits and workings before it becomes available.
Over the past fiscal year, the 211 team managed 185,946 calls, successfully connecting 151,434 clients with local experts who provided assistance with securing food, housing, and utilities; reducing prescription costs; supporting veterans, and more.
