Practitioner of the year

This award recognizes the outstanding efforts of a crime prevention practitioner for their contributions and outstanding performance in the field of crime prevention during the previous year.  The selected practitioner will be recognized at the 2026 Ohio Crime Prevention Association's Annual Conference Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, March 23rd 2026.

Eligibility:

  • Any member.

Nomination Criteria:

  • Nominations can be made by any member of the agency employing the practitioner or by someone having knowledge of the practitioner's work.
  • Nominations MUST include a description of the outstanding work accomplishments of the individual nominated. Make sure to include all relevant information, as this will be read at the annual awards luncheon.
  • Nominations should include nominees current assignment, total years of service, and the community impacted by their work.



NOTE: Nominations will be accepted until Friday, February 27th 2026.
